  1. Greta - Had this been the final submission you would have failed the project. Please make sure you adhere to submission deadlines. If work is submitted after that time we cannot access it. That would be unfair to those who did submit on time. Don't put your degree at risk.

    Character Design Feedback

Given a strong and atmospheric theme, I think you have captured that menace within your design of the zombie captain. However it still feels unfinished. The gesture sheets on page 12 have a great degree of personality and sense of movement but unfortunately these are lacking from the final clothed design. The expression sheets also need further development as they show a very limited range of expressions. Consequently, the characters feels very one-dimensional.

Despite the atmospheric potential for this project, the environmental designs remain somewhat uninspired and vague. The storyboard, again, has great potential, but needs a lot of development for the narrative to be understood. Imagine the strong german expression-like shadows piercing the gloomy, dank corridors, the sense of claustrophobia from the cluttered, oppressive rooms...

In conclusion then, I feel this project is incomplete and in need of more enthusiasm and love. I think you have definitely demonstrated the potential to create a rich and dramatic narrative, so I would strongly suggest you flesh out the missing elements. Otherwise I fear this projected is a missed opportunity for your design skills to shine. - JW
